Running from The Belfry to The Big Smoke for Charlie’s Wings
Cleo Amado Ottley. A father, runner, and author of ‘From Guns to Runs’, is taking on a powerful challenge this May, running from The Belfry to London in support of Charlie’s Wings.
Running is more than a sport for Cleo. It’s been a source of healing, identity, and purpose. This challenge represents a meaningful chapter in his journey, bringing together where he started and how far he’s come.
This run is also deeply personal. When his family faced a difficult time, Charlie’s Wings stepped in, providing counselling, tutoring, and guidance for his children when it was needed most. Their support made a lasting difference during an incredibly challenging period.
Now, Cleo is giving back. Every mile he runs is a thank you, for the support his family received, and for the many others who continue to benefit from the work of Charlie’s Wings.

This isn’t just about distance. It’s about purpose, community, and making a difference.
